NEW Year, SAME Ideas — NEW Implementations
HAPPY 2017!
With a new year comes new ideas. And for me, that included keeping a record of my creative thoughts and projects. If you know me, you know that I have an intense thirst to create. I am constantly bouncing from project to project because I have such a fascination with EVERYTHING. This year I am really concentrating on the end product—meaning the finish. When you're a working mother—life has the ability to get in the way of pursuing your passions and hobbies. As a result of my busy schedule I have various unfinished pieces or projects—so much so, that a resolution of mine was to focus the free time I do have on productive meaningful interests of mine.
One of my most recent projects was my little family's first holiday card together. I decided to put a little twist to the traditional "homemade" card and utilized both my graphic design skills and fine art skills. After taking some photos of my daughter, I sketched out a portrait of my photo of choice. [Side note- I can't tell you how long my mama has been asking me to do a portrait of Ellie— our daughter. You can bet she will be getting the finalized portrait!]
After getting the portrait to a place where I was comfortable with sending out to friends and family, I imported the photo on my computer and drafted it to my liking. From there, I had my design printed and off it went to friends and family! Hope you enjoyed this post! Looking forward to posting more!
