Hello, Again

This is an impromptu post considering it's been over a year since my last excerpt. I think this past year has been a trial of wins and loses from a creative perspective. I have come to fully understand that you can't force creativity. You need to let it happen. Just like all things in life that come natural to oneself, expressing yourself in a creative way should always feel effortless.

For an individual like myself whose career revolves around being "creative," finding time to work on side ambitions and goals can sometimes fall nil. Those carpentry skills you want to expand on. The harmonica you want to learn. The mat you want to weave. The oversized painting you want to bask yourself in. The poetry you want to perform. All fall short. Why? Because they are big ideas with unsound foundations. Each skill needs time to make something of itself. And. Well. I am finally embracing this. Right now, I'm not focused on a certain skill that's on my mind. But whatever really speaks to me will find its way and when it does, I will embrace it with such tenacity.

That's all for now. See you when I see you.
